Students will be introduced to network management and visibility using the Extreme Networks management tool, ExtremeCloud IQ - Site Engine. Using the Open Systems
Interconnection (OSI) Network Management Model (NMM), students have these concepts reinforced with a hands-on lab experience working with a pre-configured network. Students
will perform real world tasks around the areas of installation and basic configuration of ExtremeCloud IQ - Site Engine.
Students will gain more detailed explanation of centralized network management capabilities within ExtremeCloud IQ - Site Engine. This includes not only build in tools but also
customizations available within ExtremeCloud IQ - Site Engine. Network visibility of devices, device configuration tools, device firmware and configuration management, and device reporting are discussed. Students have these concepts reinforced with a hands-on lab experience working with a pre-configured network.

The class is a fast paced, fault-based scenario lab which immerses the student in real life situations requiring fault diagnosis and remedial actions. It provides students with the information and skills necessary to troubleshoot common WLAN issues using ExtremeCloud IQ tools and networking solutions.
Students will learn methods to properly deploy and configure their switching and routing environments using the ExtremeXOS/SwitchEngine CLI. This knowledge will be reinforced through actual hands-on experience with networking equipment in a lab environment, where students will perform real world tasks.
Students will learn methods to enhance their existing switching and routing environment with security, traffic optimization, automation, and integration features. Several network management tasks will be exercised.
