This course is aimed at individuals responsible for the management of the Extreme Networks family of ExtremeXOS/ SwitchEngine switches.

Students will learn methods to enhance their existing switching and routing environment with security, traffic optimization, automation, and integration features. Several network management tasks will be exercised. This knowledge will be reinforced through actual hands-on experience with networking equipment in a lab environment, where students will perform real world tasks.

Students will learn troubleshooting methodology as well as the troubleshooting toolkit available to Network Engineers and ExtremeXOS/SwitchEngine Administrators. This course provides the knowledge and skills necessary to deploy Extreme Networks’ ExtremeCloud IQ - Controller. Students experience the deployment process from the beginning to completion, learning all the essential steps and technologies. Lectures are supported with hands-on
experience with ExtremeCloud IQ - Controller and relevant access points. Successful completion results in an operational WLAN with Open SSIDs, encryption and authentication, configuration settings, AP discovery, and equipment profiles used in the creation and management of Sites in ExtremeCloud IQ - Controller.

The course covers additional information on how to confidently manage ExtremeCloud IQ - Controller. Students will learn how to work with users, backups, health widgets and integrate with Network Management Systems using ExtremeCloud IQ - Site Engine, as an example.

The course covers how to manage advanced applications in ExtremeCloud IQ - Controller, such as Extreme Scheduler and AirDefense Base. Students will learn how to leverage APIs and Postman to create integrated solutions, and how to create custom dashboards and reports to become more proactive.

This course provides guidance on troubleshooting common wireless issues using ExtremeCloud IQ - Controller. It also provides tips and tricks on troubleshooting common errors within ExtremeCloud IQ - Controller such as API errors, or issues with applications.
