EXTREME SWITCHING
Management
Online session
This course is aimed at individuals responsible for the management of the Extreme Networks family of ExtremeXOS/ SwitchEngine switches.
This course is aimed at individuals responsible for the management of the Extreme Networks family of ExtremeXOS/ SwitchEngine switches.
Students will learn methods to enhance their existing switching and routing environment with security, traffic optimization, automation, and integration features. Several network management tasks will be exercised. This knowledge will be reinforced through actual hands-on experience with networking equipment in a lab environment, where students will perform real world tasks.
Students will learn troubleshooting methodology as well as the troubleshooting toolkit available to Network Engineers and ExtremeXOS/SwitchEngine Administrators. This knowledge will be reinforced through actual hands-on experience with networking equipment in a lab environment, where students will perform real world tasks.
To deploy Extreme Networks’ Fabric Connect is the goal of the course. Students experience the deployment process from the beginning to completion learning all the essential steps and technologies. Lectures are supported equally with hands-on experience on VSPs, Universal Hardware 5520, ERS, and EXOS. Successful completion results in an operational SPBM fabric with L2VSN, L3VsN, IP Shortcuts, Fabric Attach and VIST Core Switch Pair.
The Management of Extreme Networks’ Fabric Connect is the goal of the course. Students will gain a detailed explanation of the fabric services and configure these in the lab. The latest automation features are covered including; auto-sense ports and self-forming fabric. And to provide an understanding of the management products that Extreme offers, students will experience on-boarding switches to both ExtremeCloud™ IQ and the campus solution ExtremeCloud IQ-SE (Site Engine). Lectures are supported equally with hands-on experience on VSPs, Universal Hardware 5520, ERS, and EXOS.
This course provides an in depth review of Extreme Networks’ Fabric Connect advanced features for integrating SPBM with other protocols and solution requirements. You will learn how Fabric Attach signaling is used to provision services at the edge and how expand the campus configuration by implementing Fabric Extend and Multi-Area SPBM. Redistributing routes from outside protocols into IS-IS is discussed with route policies. You’ll also learn about how DvR provides Default Gateway Redundancy and optimizes traffic flows. Lectures are supported with hands-on configuration of VSPs, Universal Hardware 5520, ERS, and EXOS.
Extreme Networks’ Fabric Connect is an advanced, reliable, high performance network solution. This training course will review the technologies that support the fabric operation and services highlighting their proper operation and ways to determine misconfiguration. Identifying problems at network Layer 1, Layer 2 and Layer 3 and discussed along with how to troubleshoot fabric service issues. Lectures are supported equally with hands-on troubleshooting activities on VSPs, Universal Hardware 5520, ERS, and EXOS.
Students will learn troubleshooting methodology as well as the troubleshooting toolkit a security engineer and ExtremeControl administrator can use. This knowledge will be reinforced through actual hands-on experience with networking equipment in a lab environment, where students will perform real world tasks.
You will learn how to deploy and configure your wireless network using ExtremeCloud IQ. This knowledge is reinforced through hands-on experience with networking equipment in a lab environment, where you will perform real world tasks.
You will learn how to deploy and configure your wireless network using ExtremeCloud IQ. This knowledge is reinforced through hands-on experience with networking equipment in a lab environment, where you will perform real world tasks.
Students will be introduced to network management and visibility using the Extreme Networks management tool, ExtremeCloud IQ - Site Engine. Using the Open Systems
Interconnection (OSI) Network Management Model (NMM), students have these concepts reinforced with a hands-on lab experience working with a pre-configured network. Students
will perform real world tasks around the areas of installation and basic configuration of ExtremeCloud IQ - Site Engine.
This course provides the knowledge and skills necessary to deploy Extreme Networks’ ExtremeCloud IQ - Controller. Students experience the deployment process from the beginning to completion, learning all the essential steps and technologies. Lectures are supported with hands-on
experience with ExtremeCloud IQ - Controller and relevant access points. Successful completion results in an operational WLAN with Open SSIDs, encryption and authentication, configuration settings, AP discovery, and equipment profiles used in the creation and management of Sites in ExtremeCloud IQ - Controller.
